Who Is Eligible?

Passport to Export is currently designed to help small and medium businesses that are completely new to export or are just starting to export. As a result your company must meet the following criteria to be eligible for Passport:·

• You must based in the West Midlands in any of these sub regions - Hereford &Worcester, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham & Solihull, Black Country or Coventry & Warwickshire.

• Employ fewer than 250 staff.

• Turn over less than 50m Euros (and not more than 25% owned by one or more companies falling outside these definitions).

• Manufacture, for the most part, in the UK or provides a UK based service.

• Be a  new, novice or passive exporter, which is a business that makes 10 per cent or less turnover from proactive exports and does not make more than 25 per cent turnover from exports overall (ie reactive and proactive exports)

• Can demonstrate a serious commitment to developing your overseas sales and the will to commit to all the key elements of Passport (places are limited).  If you are a high-technology company but do not achieve the level of turnover stated above, please contact us.  Special eligibility criteria apply.
